📬 Fredo’s Letters (#4)

2022 Recap | 2023 Intentions

No Cap In My Recap

In 2022, I was fortunate enough to take on a variety of projects in different industries. As I focused on what I do best, which is ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently, I discovered that I am a creative at heart who excels in operations. I have labeled this career path "Creative Operations" as it involves a combination of reasoning, scaling, processes, and efficiencies. Through these projects, I was able to transition into business development for both Ghost Note Agency and Integral Studio.

Overall, these experiences allowed me to realize that one of my passions is forming meaningful relationships with the people I encounter. This inspired me to start my own agency, Fredo's House, which is a match-making service connecting digital freelancers with agencies, businesses, and entrepreneurs. Through the House, I act as a booking agent for creatives, facilitating connections and streamlining the freelance process. I am excited to turn the house into a home ~ more to come soon!

Obsessed With My Mental In The New Year

Unfortunately, in 2022, I lost sight of my own needs as I tried to stay "busy." I even lost touch with myself for a while. This is not a healthy state of mind to be in. As a first generation African-American, I have always felt the pressure to make my family proud, a sentiment that has been instilled in me from a young age. I have been taught to think, solve, and earn as much as possible because "life doesn't get easier." While these values have contributed to my successes, they have also caused me to lose sight of my own peace.

I have come to an understanding of myself which helped me overcome my own imposter syndrome. Through faith and my own energy, I know that I am capable of making a positive impact on the spaces I am a part of. I am confident that I am on my own personal journey of success. However, I have now learned that my maximum potential does not come from doing the maximum amount of work each day or attempting to optimize every single moment. As a human being, my maximum potential is found in creating a meaningful life and doing less but better!

In the coming year, I will work to nourish my brain, body, and soul through self-care and positivity. By prioritizing my well-being, I am confident that I can continue to accomplish my goals and continue to grow as a person.

Thank you for being with ya boy on this ride!
