📬 Fredo’s Letters (#3)

Wow! It's been a while since I've shared a Fredo's House letter. I started this mailbox with a loose idea of what I wanted it to be but through perfectionism, the number one source of procrastination, I didn't prioritize producing this for 6 months. I've been journalling for the last 2 years but those were more of affirmations to validate what my habits can accumulate to. Nevertheless, I hate writing but it's something I want to work on to achieve world domination.

The act of writing puts an uncomfortable pressure on me to share insightful, inspiring, or meaningful messages. These emotions don't ALWAYS have to be displayed in these letters. I want them to feel like a stream on consciousness. Plus, I love getting straight to the point.

At the moment, I have a little under 100 pen pals. With this being my 3rd letter, I appreciate each one of you showing interest in what I have to express. Through consistency, I'm confident that this will be fun for all.

frmls spotlight

Mac, one of my childhood friends, starting writing to our friend group about two years ago. "frmls" is a perfect example of Mac sharing streams of consciousness to her closest people. Since the beginning of December, she's been sharing submissions (poems, drawings, short messages, or little stories) that we all submitted. Here's mine:

Winters are for Capricorns

as much as I hate to admit it, i love winter

it’s where my reality becomes the clearest

clarity that my demons are my closest companions

my companions are a part of my truth

but what are my truths?

what do i believe in?

what are my habits?

what do i love?

what do i desire?

what do i need?

what do i want?

time freezes in the winter

it's the cold reminder that this reality shall pass

but what am I going to do between now and next winter?

My next letter will summarize all my 2022 projects and what my priorities are for 2023.
